1. Who we are

This policy applies to quailhollowcharlotte.com (the "Site"), an independent editorial guide to the Quail Hollow area of Charlotte, North Carolina. We are not a homeowners association, club, brokerage, or government body. The controller of any personal information described here can be reached at npeters@yourleaderinluxury.com.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

When you use a contact form or a correction form, your message opens in your own email client and is sent by you, from your own email account, to a single address: npeters@yourleaderinluxury.com. The content of that email — your name, email address, and whatever you choose to write — is received in that inbox. The Site itself does not operate a database of visitor submissions.

Information collected automatically

• Technical data — IP address, user agent, device and browser type, referring URL, pages requested, and timestamps, logged by our hosting provider for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
• Local storage — small values stored in your browser to remember your cookie choice and to enforce anti-spam rate limits on correction forms. These stay on your device and are not transmitted to us.
• Optional analytics — aggregate page-view measurement, used only if you consent. See the Cookie Policy.

What we do not collect

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, government identifiers, precise geolocation, biometric data, health data, or any special-category personal data. Please do not send them to us.

3. How we use information

• to respond to your inquiry, tour request, or correction submission;
• to verify and correct published editorial content;
• to operate, secure, and improve the Site and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse;
• to comply with law and enforce our Terms of Use.

Our legal bases, where the GDPR applies, are: your consent (optional cookies), performance of a contract or steps at your request (responding to you), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, editorial accuracy), and legal obligation.

4. We do not sell or share your personal information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, or under any comparable state law. We do not operate targeted advertising on this Site and we do not trade, rent, or monetize inquiry data.

5. Who may process information

Limited service providers process data strictly on our behalf: our website hosting and content-delivery provider (server logs, security), and the email provider that delivers messages to npeters@yourleaderinluxury.com. If analytics is enabled with your consent, the analytics provider processes aggregate usage data. We may also disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect rights, safety, and property.

6. Retention

Email correspondence is retained only as long as needed to respond and to keep an accurate editorial record of corrections, and thereafter as required by law. Server logs are retained on our provider's standard short-term rolling schedule. Local-storage values persist until you clear your browser data or reset your cookie preferences.

7. Security

We use HTTPS across the Site, restrict inbox access to the publisher, and apply layered anti-spam controls on forms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Do not transmit sensitive information to us by email.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you; correction of inaccurate information; deletion; a portable copy; to opt out of sale, sharing, or profiling (we do none of these); to limit use of sensitive information (we collect none); and to be free from retaliation for exercising a right. California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and similar state residents, and EU/UK residents under the GDPR, may exercise these rights by emailing npeters@yourleaderinluxury.com with the subject line "Privacy Request."

We will verify your request using the email address associated with your correspondence and respond within the period required by applicable law (generally 45 days, extendable once). An authorized agent may submit a request with written proof of authority. EU/UK residents may also lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority.

9. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out of any optional analytics. Because we do not track visitors across sites, DNT headers do not change our behavior.

10. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided personal information, email us and we will delete it.

11. International visitors

The Site is operated in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

12. Third-party sites

This policy does not apply to third-party websites we link to, including partner firms, clubs, schools, government portals, and news outlets. Review their privacy policies directly.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy at any time by posting a revised version with a new effective date. Material changes will be reflected in the date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance.
